I read recently that orcas work in unison to make waves big enough to knock their prey off ice floes. Social interaction, teamwork and a giant flip of their tails allowed them to reach their target.

One of the scientists who had spent months tracking and monitoring these predators of the deep said it was not so much the social interaction and joint manouevres that were surprising - they were to be expected. It was the canniness of their tactics that really blew him away.
